Dehydrated Noodles Brighten My Boring Summer Days.

   'Ello darlings! I'm FINALLY posting my first post!! For the past three days I've been busy working on the layout details, blog info, & such (the editing is still not finished, but beauty takes time, no?).  So I never did have time to post the pictures / blog about yesterday. There's no time like the present, so I might as well do it today! Here it is...my FIRST POST on my NEW BLOG, the girl in the floral skirt. Enjoy, loves! *blows kisses*

   So today (yesterday...technically.) was a pretty normal summer day. I woke up at my usual 10:30, but not from my lovely iPod. Instead, my mother came bursting into my bedroom, screaming like a drill sargeant, telling me to basically get up off my lazy butt & start the day. Doesn't that just make you want to leap happily out of bed & begin your list of chores? Heck no. So, being the rebellious teenager that I am, I stayed in bed for another 30 minutes just to get her angry. >:) Does anyone else do that? Or am I just pure evil?
    The plans for the day were to go golfing (just play 9 holes of 3 par). So I got pulled on some denim shorts, tucked in a polo, strung on a belt, & placed my visor atop my head. Turns out, my mother had other plans. Those plans included cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming stairs & rugs, tidying up bedrooms, & so much more. My mother's a cleaning-nazi. It gets a little annoying, but hey. I have to remember it's her house-not mine. Golf was put on hold until her 'random cleaning fest' finished. We left the house at 4PM. (About 4 hours later than planned, might I add. )
   Golfing went much better than expected. We haven't been out for at least a year, so I was expecting to be terrible. But after a few crappy shots, I very slowly improved. We started out at the driving range, so after a bucket of balls, I was done. (Like I said, I hadn't golfed in a year!) Plus, it was getting later, so we didn't expect to get a tee-time.  So we decided on going to dinner instead.
   Do you know what the best part of golfing was? My shoes!! Oh, how I adore my golfing shoes!! They were my mom's old ones, so they're probably from..hmm...mid/late 80's? I'm not sure on that, but they are so retro! Here are some pictures;;

   Don't you guys love them!?! I adore the fringe and how the laces tie on top of it. :) I call them 'vintage' as a joke with my mom. So these are my vintage Nikes! Still, I'm debating wether or not to wear them to school (because golf shoes have the spikes on the bottom.) or other places. It feels a little funky walking in them on terrain other than grass. Maybe after some practice I'll get used to them. :)

   Here are some more pictures I took throughout the day;;

   My brother insisted that colored lemonade was 'so cooler' than the normal yellow, so we added food coloring to give our drinks a twist.

   Yum, yum, yum. This is practically my summer menu. Cup of Soup--chicken flavored. Dehydrated noodles are heavenly. 'Nuff said.
